In 1972, Dean and son, Dennis, expanded the service business into a retail store. True to it’s name, Crawford’s Fashion Floors initially specialized in flooring. Over the years, Crawford’s has added paint, wallpaper, draperies, bedding, unfinished furniture, upholstered furniture, lamps and other home accessories to their product offerings, prompting the name Crawford’s Home Furnishings. Though challenged by a tornado that hit in 1975 and touch economic conditions in the early 1980’s, Crawford’s has continued to grow, expand, and thrive over the years.
